Artist's Description
The Seattle houseboat community has over 450 floating homes. Many date to the early part of the 20th century, when they were used as modest housing for nearby mill workers. Later the area became something of an artists' enclave. "Historically, Seattle's floating-home community has possessed a quirky mixture of artists, bohemians, rebels and free thinkers who appreciate the unique experience of living on the water."

Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life....Congratulations on your recent sale of an amazing work

Nice comment, thanks. This photograph was captured the same day as was the Gas Works Park. The light is what makes this photo so interesting I think.

Cool photo. I wonder if those folks could actually sleep on a bed that is stationary any more...like if they had to stay in a hotel or something.
